Message

Graduating outstanding engineers in Biomedical Engineering Technology to meet the needs of the national development plan and the job market in healthcare institutions in Iraq. They have the ability to conduct scientific and applied research to develop engineering, consulting, and training services in their specialized fields.



Goals

The department aims to achieve the following objectives: Prepare and equip students to become specialized engineering technicians in the installation, operation, and maintenance of various diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and laboratory medical devices. Build competitive capacities for graduates according to the requirements of the job market in healthcare institutions. Enhance the capabilities and skills of academic staff in this field. Develop the professional performance of medical device engineers in hospitals. Meet the requirements of quality assurance and prepare for institutional and programmatic accreditation. Enhance the qualitative value of scientific research and innovation in the specialty field in accordance with development priorities. Enhance the responsibility of medical device engineers and their community partnership to improve the health situation in Iraq.
