Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. The Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering Techniques was established at Al-Farahidi University to be one of the scientific tributaries for the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which serves the Iraqi community, government institutions, various state ministries, as well as government and private hospitals, with specialized technical engineering personnel for the maintenance, operation, and service of medical devices of all types. Our graduates have been absorbed into specialized scientific offices for the preparation, installation, and maintenance of various medical devices. The department has graduated four batches so far. The university has equipped the classrooms with modern facilities, and the departments laboratories have been equipped with various labs including electrical, electronic, medical devices, anatomy, and computer labs for all stages with all the necessary practical training facilities and advanced demonstration tools. The scientific and academic staff have contributed significantly, through their high academic degrees, to conveying scientific information to the study materials in the best possible way, enabling the department to achieve the first rank in the ranking of Iraqi universities, surpassing the medical device departments in both government and private universities, for the academic year 2021-2022. Adopting scientific curricula and modern methods to prepare our students for the challenges of our modern era helps to encourage students to be role models for the community by engaging them in activities and events such as organizing art and scientific exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and field visits, enhancing their role and position in driving progress forward. In conclusion, we hope to achieve our goals by building a generation capable of contributing to various aspects of life, capable of carrying the message of knowledge and preserving the march of science for our beloved country. I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the university presidency, the College of Medical Engineering, and all our dear teaching staff and lab assistants for their commitment to building, protecting, and developing our beloved country.
