Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ali Fadhel

The Department of Anesthesia Technology was established in the academic year 2020/2021 as part of the Health and Medical Technologies College at Al-Farahidi University. It is one of the modern departments aimed at graduating specialized personnel to work in the field of anaesthesia and intensive care technologies in operating rooms, as well as in intensive care units and resuscitation areas. Graduates are awarded the title of Medical Technician Anesthesia Specialty, and the duration of study in this specialization is four full academic years.

Vision

The Department of Anesthesia Technology aims to achieve a distinguished scientific status in the local and Arab academic community, playing an active and influential applied role in the technical, health, and medical fields. It seeks to meet the needs of society and the requirements of the job market.

Message

The department aims to prepare qualified individuals, both academically and practically, to become active members of healthcare teams in various hospitals. Additionally, it is committed to graduating anesthesia technology specialists trained to assist anesthesiologists in providing high-quality care and safe healthcare for surgical patients.

Goals

The department aims to achieve the following objectives: Graduating scientific cadres in the field. Equipping students with the skills to contribute to resuscitation and intervention as needed. Teaching students the necessary skills to deal with various cases in anesthesia and intensive care. Teaching students how to prepare drugs and solutions required for anesthesia. Empowering students to acquire knowledge, intellectual understanding, and skills to recognize anesthesia devices and maintenance methods. Training students in administering anesthesia under the supervision of a specialized anesthesiologist. Connecting academic studies with scientific experience in the field of anesthesia technology.
