Aeronautical Technical engineering

Aeronautical Engineering also known as Aerospace Engineering in English is defined as the science that specializes in designing vehicles that operate within the Earths atmosphere. This includes aircraft and vertical flight vehicles like helicopters. Aerospace engineering on the other hand focuses on the design of vehicles that operate in space such as space shuttles and space stations. Over the years the Department of Aviation Engineering has been committed to developing plans and scenarios to enhance scientific performance and improve the educational outcomes. Following the launch of national accreditation standards by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2018 the Department of Aviation Engineering prepared self-assessment reports to identify strengths and weaknesses and develop improvement plans. It is hoped that by implementing these plans within specified timeframes all the requirements elements, and indicators of the standards included in the plan will be achieved.

Welcome to the Department of Aviation Engineering at Al-Farahidi University which is a part of the College of Engineering at the university. This department was established in 2016 and since then it has been dedicated to graduating engineers who have contributed to advancing aviation in Iraq. Our department offers a distinguished program in aviation engineering including specializations in aircraft structures propulsion systems air navigation and control and aerodynamics. Aviation engineering is a vital field in our modern era given its connection to one of the most important modes of transportation that shorten distances between places worldwide. It is a branch of aerospace engineering focused on designing vehicles that operate within the Earths atmosphere including spacecraft like space shuttles and space stations. The study of aviation engineering aims to prepare graduates who are capable of performing all the tasks required in the aviation engineering profession. Our mission in the Aviation Engineering Department is to elevate the quality of education maintain scientific foundations for the aviation engineering profession provide the aviation industry with competent engineers engage with the community by spreading knowledge and engineering culture, and contribute to the development of aviation engineering through research and advanced training for civil engineers in both the public and private sectors. The mission of the Aviation Engineering Technologies program includes educating students in the fundamentals and concepts of aviation engineering technologies at the undergraduate level, raising awareness of these concepts, producing high-quality scientific research, and supporting graduates of this program to lead and serve the community in the field of aviation and related aspects.

Preparing graduates in the field of telecommunications engineering who are capable of advancing in their professional and academic lives and serving their country. Preparing graduates with the ability to conduct theoretical and applied research and studies to serve the community. Finding scientific solutions to problems in the field of telecommunications engineering contributing to community service and development. Interacting directly and continuously with institutions and providing scientific advice to these institutions leading to the community benefiting from the departments expertise. Continuously developing teaching and work programs according to modern quality standards and encouraging various student activities. Producing graduates in the field of telecommunications engineering who can advance in their professional and academic lives and serve their country.
