All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, who created humans in the best form, enlightened them with the light of faith, and elevated them in knowledge and work. Peace and blessings be upon the Master of Messengers, our unlettered Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions in abundance. On behalf of myself, my colleagues, and all members of the Department of Dental Technology, I am honored to welcome you and all those joining our department, wishing you continued success, excellence, and prosperity in your academic and professional journey. The Department of Dental Technology is an important and distinguished administrative unit in the organizational structure of the College of Medical Technology. Therefore, the Department of Dental Technology is committed to adhering to the laws and regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The department also seeks to achieve its mission, vision, and goals in graduating scientifically and practically outstanding dental technicians and developing their capabilities to keep pace with scientific advancements to serve the nations citizens. This is accomplished by training them on the latest technologies and devices and developing their skills in various types of dental prosthetics. The study in the Department of Dental Technology began in the academic year 2021-2022, admitting students in the first batch to this department. The department accepts graduates of the scientific biology branch from secondary school, aiming to prepare scientifically qualified medical personnel to understand and work in the field of dental technology and innovate in it after an initial four-year study period. After graduation, the student is employed as a dental medical technician. Efforts have been made to provide all the requirements for scientific excellence by providing specialized staff in various medical and health specialities and equipping classrooms and educational laboratories with the latest devices and equipment to ensure high academic accuracy. In conclusion, we hope to achieve our goals of building a new generation capable of contributing to the continued progress, development, and scientific research that serves our beloved country. I extend my thanks and appreciation to the university presidency, the College of Medical Technology, and all the teaching staff and assistants for their work with love and dedication, praying to the Almighty for further progress and prosperity.
