My sons and daughters students of the College of Engineering Technology Firstly I would like to congratulate all of you on the beginning of the new academic year and for choosing the College of Engineering Technology at Al-Farahidi University to prepare you for the noble profession of engineering. In the near future you will bear the responsibility of contributing to the development of our beloved Iraq. The true wealth of nations lies in the intellectual minds of their youth capable of harnessing the forces of nature and utilizing the resources and blessings that God has bestowed upon this land to establish the foundations of a better future and drive forward progress in all aspects of life. I urge you to work diligently on developing your creative and innovative abilities through the universitys role and your own personal efforts to activate the education and learning system equipping you with the necessary knowledge skills and critical thinking. The College of Engineering Technologys interest in its students stems from the belief that these students are the real wealth and we hope that God will benefit our beloved country through you. I advise all students to actively engage with professors during lectures participate in laboratory experiments and workshops and utilize drawing rooms and exercise sessions as well as stay updated with the latest technologies. The college offers three distinguished study programs operating on the annual system carefully selected to meet the requirements of the job market in Iraq and worldwide: Aircraft Engineering Technology Telecommunication Engineering Technology and Architecture Engineering. Additionally the college will implement a credit based system starting from the academic year 2019-2020, following the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. In conclusion I pray to the Almighty that He blesses your efforts with success and that your studies at the college are fruitful and prosperous. May God guide you and make your path straight.

The College of Engineering Technology at Al-Farahidi University was established to be an academic and knowledge oriented institution in accordance with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Researchs book numbered (ج ﻫ 2678) dated 26/5/2013. The college was created in collaboration with the best Iraqi universities to ensure the provision of distinguished academic programs for its three departments: Aircraft Engineering Technology Telecommunication Engineering Technology and Architecture Engineering. The first batch of graduates from the College of Engineering Technology will receive their Bachelors degrees equivalent to those awarded by similar technical colleges in Iraqi universities in the year 2020, based on the required graduation requirements. Consequently, graduates of the college become members of the Engineers Syndicate.
