Accountancy Department

The department initially launched its morning study programs in the 2016-2017 academic year, followed by the introduction of evening study programs in the 2017-2018 academic year. With the founding of the College of Management and Economics at Al-Farahidi University, there has been a consistent rise in student enrollment across four academic years. Consequently, by the conclusion of the 2022-2023 academic year, four cohorts of students have successfully graduated.

Accounting is a discipline of considerable interest to both the wider community and specifically to business owners, given its pivotal and impactful role in the commercial domain. The growing attraction of students towards the Accounting Department in recent years is understandable, reflecting the promising job prospects available to graduates in both spheres. Since its inception in 2016, the Accounting Department at the College of Management and Economics, Al-Farahidi University, has embraced a guiding principle, Success belongs to those who deserve it. This philosophy imposes a dual responsibility on the departments administration, to cultivate professional integrity and public service ethics among its students. Achieving this involves equipping students with up-to-date knowledge in accounting and auditing, as well as familiarizing them with sophisticated technological programs for account management. Additionally, the curriculum incorporates other relevant disciplines such as statistics, mathematics, management, and law, all of which enrich the accounting field.
