Department of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Technology

At the beginning of the academic year 2023, Al-Farahidi University launched another unique specialization, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. This specialization focuses on providing students with all the fundamental sciences in mechanical engineering, as well as the modern specialized sciences in the field of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Technologies. This includes remote control systems and many other technologies that engineers need in the job market.

The responsibility resting on the shoulders of our dear students is to activate their role in building our beloved country. This requires perseverance, cooperation, and contribution through creativity, initiative, and suggestions that support the development journey and enhance the university's standing in local and international forums. Despite the rapid development witnessed by Al-Farahidi University, this will not distract the university from investing all means and capabilities to develop the scientific and knowledge abilities of our student sons and daughters, support their activities, and prepare them in accordance with the needs of the labor market. Additionally, the university works on developing and enhancing their skills and abilities and leveraging them to contribute to achieving sustainable development.

Vison

The vision of the department is to advance in the theoretical and practical knowledge areas of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, their operation methods, installation, and maintenance, leading to the creation of scientific competencies in this specialization upon their graduation. Furthermore, it aims to develop the teaching abilities of our department's faculty to match the scientific curriculum and provide proficient training on laboratory equipment for refrigeration systems in the department's specialized labs.

Message

Training and developing students of the Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering Technologies, preparing them as advanced engineering cadres to support state institutions and benefit from their scientific and practical experiences in the operation, installation, and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems in all governmental and non-governmental sectors.

Goals

1- Supplying the community with experienced engineers in the field of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering Technologies. 2- Developing the students' mindset through training on how to conduct scientific research to solve problems related to refrigeration and air conditioning. 3- Establishing training programs and courses in industrial facilities for the purpose of scientific exchange and theoretical and practical alignment. 4- Facilitating scientific communication for students and teaching staff with global advancements in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration through the internet, conducting research, and participating in conferences and scientific programs.
