International Awards and Medals Achieved by Al-Farahidi University Students

Student Amir Saad Abdul Rahman from the College of Physical Education at Al-Farahidi University won the fourth place in the 18th UAE Men's Championship for the 90 kg men's category, held in Ras Al Khaimah in 2013.

Student Anwar Sabah from the College of Media at Al-Farahidi University won the Best Cinematography Award at the 15th Sakia Documentary Film Festival held in Cairo, Egypt. He received this award for the documentary film "The Convoy," which participated in the festival and won three international awards (Best Cinematography, Best Direction, and Best Feature Film). The film documents the role of the Iraqi Air Force and the Army Aviation in targeting an ISIS convoy in the Anbar desert during the war against ISIS.
